A good Restarurant, Night Club, Pub, to pass the New Year, and a Rental Car in Chicago??!?

I'm going to visit Chicago next week, Is there any good night club, restaurant to pass the New year with my sister and I (24 and 27 years old), and I want to rent a Car, anybody knows a very cheap one?? and of course....a very cheap and central Hotel or Hostels.....ThanksA good Restarurant, Night Club, Pub, to pass the New Year, and a Rental Car in Chicago??!?
First of all don't rent a car. Added to what you're going to pay to rent the car, you'll pay around $35 to park the car overnight. Take a plane or train here, then use the CTA (L trains, buses) or cabs, it will be much cheaper and more convenient - and more safe on NYE. I also believe that the CTA only charges a penny on NYE to make sure there are no drunk drivers. Otherwise it's only $2 one way.



There are tons of places depending on your taste in music, and things like that. Check out Chicago's section at Metromix.com, they have an awesome New Years section.



Also, just know that hotel rates go up and down based on how busy it is in the city. It's not bery busy during the winter, so rates are normally low except for NYE and Valentines Day - so expect to pay a lot unless you're staying near an airport.A good Restarurant, Night Club, Pub, to pass the New Year, and a Rental Car in Chicago??!?
If you seriously wouldn't mind staying in a hotel on NYE try Hostling International (http://www.hichicago.org/). It's located right in the middle of downtown Chicago, easy access to public transportation, sights, etc. You can probably get by with less than $30 a night per person for a room.



as far as good nightclubs, restaurants, etc., there are MILLIONS of them. This is CHICAGO. Your best bet is to check out websites like Metromix (http://chicago.metromix.com/), or Time Out Chicago (http://www.timeout.com/chicago/) and cruise through their listings of NYE happenings and see what sounds good to you. some are very expensive, some are cheap. Some restaurants have special NYE deals (meal and drink packages). There are special concerts with live music, etc. It's hard to recommend just one. There are SO many places and things to choose from.
