I am flying to Chicago for an interview next week, and am hoping on some advice for some great food. I have never been there so I am not quite sure what to expect. Any suggestions will be great =)I Need To Find A Good Restaurant In Chicago Near Magnificent Mile.?
Head for Rush St and you'll find plenty of choices - but you will generally need to book.
Carsons Rib Restaurant. 612 N Wells St. Even though pork ribs are the specialty, have the pork chops. And have au gratin potato rather than fries. Their coleslaw is excellent.
McCormick %26amp; Schmicks on Rush Street nr junction with Chestnut St. Very good seafood amongst other dishes. I ate in here a few times.
Café Iberico. 747 North La Salle. Excellent tapas. Not so close to MagMile but highly recommended.
Bice. 158 E Ontario St. Good Italian.
Carmines or Tavern or Rosebud on Rush. Rush Street, just north of the junction with Bellevue Place. Italian food. Huge portions.
The Bandera on N Michigan Ave. Near the Intercontinental. Steaks, pork chops %26amp; ribs.
Gibson’s Steak House on Rush Street nr junction with Bellevue Place or Morton’s of Chicago, nearby on N Dearborn St. Both VERY expensive but very very good steaks.
I saw that a previous post mentioned Giordano's. That WAS superb, but it had closed down last time I was in Chicago. If it has re-opened, it would get my vote but I thought the plot was being turned into apartments. FYI, I ate in all of the above, on my own, quite happily...and I'm female, in case that helps.
