Looking for some good restaurants for cheap?

I am going to Chicago in 2 weeks and was looking for some good restaurants.Looking for some good restaurants for cheap?
Taco Bell or White Castle

Yummy!
Ginos Pizza and Ed Debevics - they are right next to one another. They are moderately priced and both very unique!Looking for some good restaurants for cheap?
I second the recommendation for Ed Debevics - 50's decor in what looks like an old diner train car. Look out for the sassy waiters and waitresses, it's a blast! It's located in the on N. Wells St.
Portillo's! Great variety of Chicago street food. Several locations.
The Art of Pizza in Wrigleyville. Get the stuffed pizza...best stuff ever!!!!
Chicago is known for its food. We have an extremely broad range of price and ethnic possibilities. For a cheap place that is easy to find, try one of the literally "thousands" of hot dog stands. Not a cart! A real Chicago hot dog stand. Each has it's own special "Chicago" Dog. If you don't like hot dogs, get an Italian beef, Italian sausage or even a "combo." These too are Chicago specialties that I have only seen here. Other hot dog stand choices are; a Polish sausage or Greek gyro. These are all "meals in a bun." with a variety of condiments. All these places have somewhat greasy fries that come in large quantities. Everything is usually wrapped in wax paper and then put in a paper bag. The best places have a yellow sign with"Vienna hot dogs" or "Scala" beef. Have a taste for Mexican food? In the last 15 yrs, most neighborhoods have had taco stands take the place of some of the hot dog stands. The result has produced some really good places that have authentic foods from Mexico...not Taco Bell or Pepe's.

None of these suggestions are expensive because these places are where most Chicagoans eat every day.
for breakfast....salt and pepper in wrigleyville on clark and addison. for lunch....moonshine on division and honore (1800 block of w. division); they serve drinks in little jars which i think is the coolest thing ever...for dinner, if you're into mexican, go to teclitlan on chicago ave (1842 w chicago ave i think)...great margaritas and food, and the bill won't bust your wallet.other places to consider for lunch or dinner are cafe 28, o'donnovan's, and mcnamara's...all on irving park rd. avoid anything downtown as it's always packed and pricey. venture out west ; little italy, greektown, and beyond to find really great food and great prices. and don't forget suzie's on montrose and elston for the BEST shakes, and weiner cicle on clark for good hot dogs with some amusing customer service...
