Next week my friend and I (we're 14) are going on a short trip to Chicago. We don't exactly know what we are going to do. I like sight seeing and she's fine with anything. We are planning on shopping at the Magnificent Mile and go to Millennium Park. I don't like rides and stuff like that, so I don't know if we will go to Navy Pier, but what else is there to do? Also, what are some good restaurant recommendations? (We are both vegetarians)Things to do in Chicago, Illinois (please answer quick. we leave in 4 days)?
Millenium Park has: Crown Fountain (animated, giant mosaics that spray water), The Giant Bean (Picture Opportunity!), and various shows and concerts daily.
Near Millenium is the Art Institute. There are some small cafes and sub shops by there.
If you do Chicago, you have to visit a skyscraper! The John Hancock and the Sears Tower both have observatories. There is Brookfield Zoo and Lincoln Park Zoo. Field Museum, Science and Industry Museum, Alder Planeterium, and Shedd Aquarium are all semi-close to Millenium Park and Grant Park (walking distance-ish)
Heyy. Im 13 and im from chicago. What me and my friends like to do is go to the bean in millennium Park. Its cool because it's like a huuuugeeee mirror. I also like to go to water tower in downtown, the sears tower, and theres always some festival going on. Look them up. Theres a great restraunt in chicago called the chicago diner. http://www.veggiediner.com/wp/ . Thats the best vegetarian/vegan restraunt in chicago as said. I used to be a veggie and would always come here. The desserts are even vegan and they are awesome.Things to do in Chicago, Illinois (please answer quick. we leave in 4 days)?
Visit a couple of college campuses:
The University of Chicago (bonus: Smart Museum of Art, Oriental Institute, free guided walking tours of campus)
University of Illinois at Chicago
Northwestern University
By taking tours of these places, you're definitely going to see some very interesting places and get a lot of good information about Chicago (and ideas for more places that you might want to visit).
there is more to do at Navy Pier than rides, but anyway there are a ton of museums you can go to, and many bus and boat and walking tours. Lincoln Park zoo, sky decks to visit at the Sears or Hancock towers, etc
