What is the minimum wage for an entry level job at Subway as a Sandwich Artist here in Chicago , IL.?

I'm looking to working at a local subway in Downtown Chicago, but don't know how much I should ask for.

Im 19 years old and have a high school degree. Currently going to a 4 year college, but am still a freshman.

I have prior working experience but nothing with any Fast Food Chains.

Previous non-restaurant jobs payed me $10 /hr to work. (They were jobs in electrical work.)

Im looking to work part time. Max. 20 hrs /week.

I'm thinking of asking for at least 8.50 /hr. What do you guys think? What is the minimum wage for an entry level job at Subway as a Sandwich Artist here in Chicago , IL.?
On Dec. 18, 2006 Gov. Blagojevich signed into law legislation increasing the state minimum wage to $7.50 per hour on July 1, 2007. The minimum wage will increase by an additional 25 cents in each of the following three years to $7.75 on July 1, 2008; $8.00 on July 1, 2009; and $8.25 on July 1, 2010.

you can ask what you want, with no experience in food service and working part-time you will receive the prevailing wage for someone in your circumstances. as you learn and prove how valuable an employee you are increases will come accordingly. one of the benefits offered by food service employers is part-time and flexible scheduling. the ability of the employer to accommodate your scheduling needs should be considered by you and appreciated.
i would go 8 maybe 8.25 you don't want to get too greedy lots of ppl willing to work for 7.50 also sandwich artist that made me laugh i might apply to subway so i too can be a sandwhich artist

actually 8.25 maybe too much , try 8What is the minimum wage for an entry level job at Subway as a Sandwich Artist here in Chicago , IL.?
