You're right, finding a "fancy" restaurant to stay open after hours is going to be hard, and I don't mean to sound "offensive", but trying to get one to stay open for high school prom customers is even harder.

Part of this is that high school students historically are not big tippers; tend to leave bigger messes; since you're not of legal age, the business cannot make the big bucks on drinks that helps kick-up their "average dinner ticket"; and make more noise....again, I don't mean to put you down in any way, just trying to give you reasons why you might be getting a lot of NO answers.

But, here's an idea to try: First, find out just how many people would be interested in doing just want you're asking about. Then, try to find several restaurants that you all could agree on going to and then go to those restaurants, tell them what you want to do...maybe even offer to pre-pay them a set amount...and they might be willing to do something "out of the box".

A restaurant might be more willing to listen to you if you could say that 100-200 persons are wanting to come eat at their place at midnight, and you were willing to pre-pay say $20-25.00 per person in advance to show your committment. For something in that price range, they might be willing to come up with a very good buffet of some type that everyone could find something they like. A buffet is a lot easier to serve and clean-up after.

If you still don't have any luck with a "fancy" restaurant, then keeping looking but maybe lower your sights. You might find that the local diner or cafe just might be happy as heck to have the business. especially the smaller the group it...since you don't need a large facility.

And, don't forget...don't just look at restaurants. Don't be afraid to even look at bars...I'll give you a great example:

Around 15 years ago, I had the job of putting together a "Father - Daughter Dance" for my wife's Girl Scout Troop. I was turned down by my own church to have it in their gym, which really ticked me off (we don't go there any more) and after looking around, ended up having it at a bar called 'Studebakers' and every one had a blast. They put together a buffet that fit our budget; they got a DJ for us; they even covered all the bar %26amp; booze with sheets no body could be upset with the fact that girls from 5 - 17-ish were in a bar dancing with their dads...and, everyone had a great time.

A lot of "bars" have nice size dining rooms, or maybe even a separate room that could handle your needs.

Good Luck %26amp; hope your group has a great time!
I would seriously check out Olive Garden, Applebees, Macaroni Grill, TGI Fridays, and Red Lobster. Those might be your best bets.

Have a fun and a safe prom!!!!
