Ok so im planning on going on a 1 month trip to chicago n about 2 weeks. So how much money should i bring.I am probably going to go shopping, eat out,go in a restaurant and be in a hotel. And probably go on tours and stuff. So how much do you thin would be good. And if theres anything else there please tell me about it.Chicago help?
If you plan on staynig in a hotel for the entire month, I would say just bring a credit card with a high credit limit. That will run into thousands by the time you do all these things.
After living in Chicago from 1983 to 1997 the best thing I can tell you to bring is an credit card with a very high spending limit. If you plan on doing all that you are going to run into thousands and thousands of dollars.

Try to find a hostel or go on Craiglist and look for a place to stay like a YMCA, etc., and there are some places that are known for putting up out of towners but these are few and far between and as far as tours go, when I lived there most of the museums were free admission on Thursdays but that may have changed. If you like Chinese food there is the House of Wah Sun on Lincoln Avenue near Montrose on the northwest side. Carsons ribs is always a good bet. Inside most of the museums are little snack areas but they are high priced. The Shedd aquarium has a nice place to eat. There's some good ghost tours to take, especially the one about the lady in a white dress walking along Irving Park Cemetery.Chicago help?
