Thanks :)Fun things to do in Chicago?
We have A LOT of stuff going on constantly. A good way to sort through it all is by visiting our metromix website. Since we're so diverse it's hard for me to list things for you seeing as I have no idea what you like.

We've got Jazz clubs, blues clubs, Wrigleyville bars full of frat boys and drunk chicks, high class clubs/bars on damen and diversey... You can't really go wrong, no matter where you end up, you're going to find something awesome.

But for the general touristy stuff -- go to Michigan Ave (Don't forget the Chicago river, the view is SPECTACULAR), Millenium Park, Chicago Art Institute, Field Museum, Rush and State St. (GREAT restaurants, bars, and stores), go to the Water Tower Place (take a horse carriage ride while you're there, you'll get a nice tour), Sears Tower, John Hancock, OH and Second City which is where MANY people on SNL got their start.

That should keep you busy.

If I were you I would by a 7 day pass for the L for easy travel.

Here are some stops that are pretty sweet starting with northern most:

Purple Line

Davis - this is the downtown of Evanston the home of Northwestern University, did you know that Stephen Colbert went there? Evanston is very artsy, homey, and has GREAT restaurants, if you want some great Indian food try Mt. Everest Restaurant.

Red line

Loyola - Home of Loyola University, it's a campus on the lake, some great views.

Argyle - Little Vietnam

Berwyn - You'll have to walk west to Clark to find Andersonville which is Girl's Town.

Addison - Wrigley Field and the Cubs are here, lots of bars, and restaurants.

Belmont - Lots of rainbow colored hair and pretty rad stuff.

Fullerton - Depaul University, lots of bars, this area is known as Lincoln park, it's a really popular modern neighborhood. Also you can find one of the only free zoos left in the country in this area.

Chicago - will get you to both the Water Tower Place and the John Hancock and loooots of shopping on Michigan Ave.

Lake - will get you to the Chicago River, the theatre district, and a lot of hotels and Michigan Ave.

Jackson - Harold Washington Library, the biggest most beautiful library I've ever seen.

Cermak/China Town - enough said. Really cool place to be.

Sox-35th - U.S. Cellular field

Monroe - Millenium park, Chicago Art institute

Blue Line

So if you're on the Red line you can transfer over to the Blue line at JACKSON.

My favorite places to go off of the Blue line are Wicker Park and Bucktown.

Damen - This area is called "the crotch" because there's 5 streets that converge here. I like to hang out and watch the bike messengers go by. Again lots of REALLY cool Clubs/venues/restaurants/art to see here.

Overall, just try out a few stops and see what you can find.

Have fun.
The most fun thingsto do in chicago that I got to do when I flew out there to see my brother and his wife was going to the navy pier and getting on the gian farris wheel that has 40 seats on it, the steak and shake to eat the miniature gulf course the waterfall in it, the chicago deep dish pizza place is a good place to eat but, i can''t really remember the name of it though um lets see taking a tour up the sears tower, going to the shed's aquarium, the brook-field zoo, O'hare is one the worlds largest airports, and last but not least you have to go sight seeing in Chicago b/c u will get to c a building that looks like a giant sand castle and if u don't get to go sight seeing u will definately regret trust me oh go to the mall there and look around and also go to the place called Barn's %26amp; Noble b/c if u like to read that is the place to go b/c it is a giant book store and if u stand if front the store the the most beautiful painting of a mural on the side of the building that u will want to take picture's of it!
