The Hard Rock Hotel is on the Mag Mile and under $200
I think the W Lakeshore is a good choice if you're going for a view because it's one of the only hotels with a clean view of the Lake. Even though it's right off of the northern tip of the Mag Mile it does leave you a little too far from the Loop where you'll find the Art Institute %26amp; Millennium Park.
I think a better choice is the Hotel Monaco: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en%26amp;q=mon鈥?/a> which on the southern end of the Mag Mile on the south end of the bridge at Wabash %26amp; Wacker - so you're like five minutes from the Mag Mile maybe 7 minutes walking to Millennium Park and all of the other museums %26amp; attractions in the Loop.
As for the price, good luck! I would say you need to up your price to at least $250 for the Monaco or any other hotel in downtown Chicago, maybe $300 for the W Lakeshore. You can always look at discount hotel sites, the sooner the better.Chicago Hotel close to Magnificent Mile?
