Hey gyes.... wats up? ok well since spring semester is over, my friends and I were planning on going somewhere on wed may14. we decided to go to Sixflags but turns out the place is only open on wknds these days until the end of MAY :(. So we're now thinkin about other places since everyone's took off that day. the place has to be a max of 1hr 30 min drive from zipcode 22003. We thought about luray caverns but i've already been there and besides.. we 're lookin for somethin outdoor.... Kings dominion is closed too :( so anyways... if any of you out there know of any good places to go to with friends around 22003, please put the ideas out.... btw.. no washington dc either.. been there! If you're just looking to go in VA I would go to Wintergreen Resort. Its a ski resort in the winter and a sporting resort during the summer/spring. You can bike, mountain hike, spa treatments, great restaurants, sightseeing, climbing, and much more. Its really a great place to go and its not too expensive.

Go to Great Falls Park (google it for directions) It is within 30-40 minutes of 22003 (either Virginia or Maryland side of the falls). The view is breath-taking and there are some trails to take short, scenic hikes.
You can also drive out to Skyline Drive. Again, gorgeous views and numerous hiking trails.
