Entertainment and Activities on board Carnival , NCL, and RCCL?

I'm so undecided about these lines. I'm almost positive we want to take our cruise in either Feb. or April. We want to go to the Western or Southern Caribbean, for 4-7 nights. Nothings booked yet, just doing a lot of research. He's 20, I'm 21. That's how old we will be when we cruise too. I looked on all 3 cruise line's websites and they all said you only had to be 18 to gamble in the casinos on board, that's good. I was wondering if the shows and lounges would have the same age rule? As long as your 18 can you get in? I know he won't be able to drink on the ship but I want to make sure I'm not disappointed when I go. I hope there won't be a bunch of places we can't go because he's not 21 ya know, that's ridiculous. Also, which line would you say has the best entertainment shows and activities on board? Thank you for your responses.Entertainment and Activities on board Carnival , NCL, and RCCL?
I am 30 years old and hubby is 31. we started cruising at exactly YOUR AGES!

Our first cruise was RCCL. WE LOVED IT! Great activities but not so crazy crazy fun, just fun and relaxing. We loved it so much we cruised with RCCL at least 6 times, between 4 and 7 night cruises (4 times just the two of us and two times with our kids. (ourtwo kids have sailed RCCL - 6 years old and 3 years old at least two times). We sailed once on the Carnival Victory 7 days (with kids) and one time Princess 10 days (no Kids).

We are so hooked on it that we turned on my sister and her husband on to RCCL (They have been on two RCCL cruises) and friends...

Although all cruise lines try to do the same thing I am partial to RCCL with Princess coming in a close second. I really didnt care for Carnival... So my answer is RCCL. Do the Western on one of the Mega Ships. THat is REALLY GEARED TO A GREAT TIME.

as far as intinaries are concerned. I have done everything in the carribean (Western, Eastern, Southern, Bermuda) and Canada (long story, we booked a cruise to Bermuda 7 days with no child our first born and ended up in Canada with my daughter coming on this cruise) I LOVED THEM ALL
I know you said don't comment on Carnival but that is the only one I can comment on. I have been on four cruises and one was with Carnival. The ship and the entertainment were all fantastic however my husband and I went for our honeymoon when we were 21 and 26 and we felt very very young in comparison. All our other cruises were with P%26amp;O and we felt like we fitted in age wise far better on them.Entertainment and Activities on board Carnival , NCL, and RCCL?
Royal Caribbean was a blast. We have went on both carnival and royal caribbean while i personally i think carnival was a lil more fun you wont be disapointed with either one.
They all are pretty similar in quality. As far as lounges, shows etc, being 20 will not restrict him in any way other than booze purchase. He will be able to bar hop in ports however. Keep in mind though that the shorter cruises use the older, smaller ships. The overall quality is pretty good but on the older RCCL and NCL ships, the rooms are tiny and they don't have alot of the amenities as the newer ships.
