Turning 21 on Royal Caribbean Cruise?

We are going on a Cruise monday the 1st on RCCL Majesty of the Seas, My friend who is going turns 21 on Wednesday the 4th. I called royal caribbean and they said she will not be able to purchase drinks because the age you are when you set sail is the age you are on the whole cruise.... If she doesnt drink until Wednesday and has someone else buy her her drinks what could happen if they asked to see her seapass card to check her age? Technically she is 21. So what could happen to her? Fine? She looks like she is 21 so i dont think it will be an issue if her boyfriend buys her drinks for her but we were just wondering. Thanks for the helpTurning 21 on Royal Caribbean Cruise?
I would call back and ask someone else at the cruise line. Because if that is the case and someone buys her drinks, according to the cruise contract that you agreed to by purchasing the cruise itself, you give the cruise line permission to basically kick you off the ship with no refund or recourse if you are caught doing something illegal and that includes giving alcohol to minors.

Just double check and then play by the rules. If anything else have her drink when you are in port somewhere. The drinks are way cheaper there anyways.

Have a nice time!!!
Heyy

Dont listen to who ever said that to you, its bull

They said to me if you turn the legal age whilst sailing you have to go to this place on the cruise ship to change your details attached to your card so that your friend can drink!

Im turning 18 on the Freedom of the seas next week, the only thing that suck is im from the UK so i can already legally drink HERE! lmao but i cant when go to america lmao, which sucks

Have fun anyway xTurning 21 on Royal Caribbean Cruise?
Honestly, the cruise ship just wants to make money, i don't think they will care if her boyfriend buys her a drink AFTER she turns 21. Actually the drinking age of many of the islands you visit on a cruise have drinking ages of 18 or 19 anyways ! But def don't get drunk while on an island and don't get drunk on the ship. Some people have gotten drunk and fell overboard, it's easy to fall over because the barriers are not that secure !
Hey, Ive been on a Royal Caribbean Cruise (Explorer of the Seas) and it was AMAZING !

You think its all strict and tight but its not. Everyones dead relaxed and I dont think you need to worry about it all all. No-one will even notice !

Im telling you - you will LOVE it. When I went I really didnt want to leave so 2 years later we went back (we even went on the same ship!)

So honestly JUST ENJOY IT! I know you will though :D

Hope this helps x x x x
they can't legally prevent her from drinking if she is of legal age. What you can do is go to the front desk on her birthday and they can do what ever it is they do (when i went they punched a hole in your room key) to make it known that you can drink.
just get someone else to buy her drinks, absolutely no one will know

Enjoy!!!!!!!!
they can put her off at the next port of call.
