What Does A Carnival Cruise Come With?

I am wondering, we might go on a Carnival Destiny 5-day cruise, or a Majesty of the Seas RCCL cruise.What does the room price include? Does it include room service, all restaurants, (the pizzeria on carnival and the Johnny Rockets on RCCL)? What drinks are included, what ones are extra? What entertainment in NOT included? on a carnival i think the only food you pay for is the stuff at the cafe, the stuff in the fridge, and drinks ( soda, frozen drinks, alcohol)

On a cruise, the only things you pay extra for is gratuity, which you can adjust up or down at you discretion, your alcohol, Internet access, ship to shore telephone calls, sodas, and shore excursions. Drinks are included at the Captain's Gala. Johnny Rockets has a $3.00 cover. Room service is inclusive. The entertainment is all inclusive. Pizza and soft ice cream on Carnival is inclusive 24/7. You do not have to pay to walk off the ship while in port. Some people find a bar in port. Make sure to be back on board on time. Always set your watch to ships time. johnny rockets is free on RCCL, but i remember only going there once or twice...the pizzeria is also free any time of the day...RCCL has free ice cream that is ok but if you want some REAL icecream they have ben and jerry's and you have to pay for it. Juice is free but you have to pay for soda (you buy a soda fountain card on your first day of the cruise, if you don't want to spend the money on soda just tell them you don't want a fountain card and then when you go to each port you can buy soda and bring it onto the ship !). The room price includes just the room. Room service is FREE but you have to tip the person who brings you your food. You can use the exercise gym for free but if you want to use the spa services (massage, etc.) you have to pay for it. The have a computer area if you want to go on the internet but they charge you. Also, if you use your cell phone on the ship they charge you an arm and a leg so DON'T do it !!! Just make calls at each port instead, they have phone centers where you can pay to use their phones and it's alottttt cheaper than the ships' prices ! There are a few restaurants on RCCL that cost money, they are specialty restaurants, but we never used them, just eat in the lido deck or main dinning room for free ! The food is great. The entertainment is free but make sure you get your tickets ahead of time because the shows fill up fast. RCCL had great entertainment, i found carnival to be a bit boring. RCCL was the better cruise for me. Have fun !
The price that you pay will include all food in the dining room and buffets. It also includes room service. There might be a small charge for room service after midnight (I know RCCL does that now) or on certain items, like juice, for instance. Your price includes drinks at the buffet, like juice in the morning only, ice tea, lemonade, tea, and coffee. You have to buy a soda card (for unlimited soda) or pay for each individual soft drink. You also pay for specialty coffees and alcoholic beverages. On RCCL, you pay a $3 surcharge to go to Johnny Rockets, plus an extra charge for milk shakes. I belive the pizzaria on Carnival (and all the cruise lines) is included free of charge. Most ships also have some sort of ice cream place that charges money, like Ben and Jerry's on RCCL. But be sure to look for the soft serve ice cream that you serve yourself - there is no charge for that on Carnival or RCCL. Almost all of the entertainment is included. The only thing that you would pay extra for is the casino or bingo. All the shows, etc. are free and wonderful.
I haven't been on the RCL, but was on Carnival Splendour in Dec. All the restaurants except the speciality restaurants come with your packet.

Room service is free , not sure of the tip though, ( we did not order any)

They have you charge on the Sail and ship card, that you get at the beginning of the cruise, and you can only use the card for all the gift shops, to but tickets for bingo, etc

You can use cash at the casino.

Your packet also included all tips for the staff, you can pay extra on the last day if you choose to .
