Where to take visiting girlfriend in Chicago?

I just moved to the Chicago-land area about a year ago so I still am not too familiar with the locale. My girlfriend is coming to visit me this week (January) and I don't know where to take her. Its going to be cold and possibly snowing so that limits things. We are both 24 and are up for anything. I already looked into ice skating in Millenium park, but need a weekends worth of ideas. Any suggestions other than museums or things of that nature would be great. Fun bars/restaurant suggestions would always be appreciated too. I live in the Lombard (western suburbs) area, with the downtown area being a quick commute.

go to the BEAN, then deep dish pizza. or the architectural cruise
Consider shopping downtown, cruising Lake Shore Drive and checking out the skyline, musicals or other types of theater entertainment.

the willis tower is awsome!! you can enjoy that at any age. it's pretty cool and it's the tallest bulding in the country. as for restaurants, ed debevicks is pretty cool. but that might be more for kids. it's just a fun place where the waiters insult you and such. it's pretty funny though. i also hear portillos has fantastic italian beef. there's alot to do in chicago. they alwasy have plays going on too. as for bars and clubs, i wouldn't know since i'm only 16.
