Travelling to Huntington Beach in 3 weeks, anything "punk rock" to do ?

We are two girls (22 years old) and we are going to Huntington Beach in about 3 weeks. (Yeah I know, it looks like our question for Chicago/Vegas, but we are road tripping around the USA :P)



But, we don't really know what to do and/or where to go to see people that would fit with us. We are mostly all about music (punk/rock) so any shows would be great. Bars with pool table, nice and not too expensive restaurant ? Shop (like Hot Topic, Newbury Comics, Clandestine Industries' store and Threadless).. Which beach would fit us the best ? Where can we rent a surfboard AND have a little explanation on how to use it :P ? Plus any safe hotel/motel near the ocean ? Any idea, people ?



Put everything that comes to your mind, but it'd be better if you had a little description for each of your suggestions ;) :)

idk about the punk-rock scene, but i will be there in 3 weeks, chillin in my suite @ the hilton waterfront.. it is very nice and classey, and i would def. reccomend it.
I like Newport and Laguna Beach better but Huntington is pretty awesome too. There is tons to do and plenty of places to get a surfboard. Don't know too much about the rock scene. Maybe go to Dowtown Disney in Anaheim which is close by. They have House of Blues and some other stuff that usually has some rock concerts.



Also there are tons of malls with places like Hot Topic. Closest mall would probably be Fashion Island in Newport Beach or South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
